Job Description

We are seeking a Product Data Scientist to help drive product strategy through data-driven insights and advanced analytics. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, UX Researchers, and Business Stakeholders to understand user behavior, measure product performance, and identify opportunities to improve customer engagement, retention, and revenue.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with statistical modeling and machine learning, and a passion for turning complex datasets into actionable product recommendations. You will work on experimentation, customer segmentation, predictive modeling, and KPI development to influence product decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze product usage data to identify customer behavior patterns and business opportunities.
  • Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests and other product experiments.
  • Develop dashboards and performance metrics to monitor product health and user engagement.
  • Build predictive models for customer retention, churn, conversion, and lifetime value.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define success metrics and optimize product features.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover actionable insights.
  • Develop customer segmentation models to improve personalization and targeting.
  • Work with Data Engineers to ensure reliable and scalable data pipelines.
  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to deploy and monitor machine learning models in production.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product adoption, engagement, and monetization.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with company policies and privacy regulations.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in product analytics, AI, and data science.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–6+ years of experience in Product Analytics, Data Science, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and A/B experimentation.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with product analytics platforms such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and model deployment workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments.
  • Understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) applications is a plus.
