Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Consultant to help organizations transform data into actionable business insights through advanced reporting, analytics, and visualization solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, design scalable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, and deliver interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.

As a Power BI Consultant, you will collaborate with business leaders, data engineers, database administrators, and software development teams to implement enterprise-grade analytics solutions. You will be responsible for developing data models, creating executive dashboards, optimizing report performance, and ensuring data accuracy while following Microsoft best practices.

This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in Microsoft Power BI, SQL, DAX, Power Query, and Azure data services, along with excellent communication and client-facing experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from clients and stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Build scalable data models using Power Query and DAX.
  • Connect Power BI with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and cloud-based data sources.
  • Develop reusable semantic models and datasets for enterprise reporting.
  • Optimize dashboard performance and report refresh schedules.
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace management, and governance policies.
  • Create executive-level KPI dashboards and self-service BI solutions.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to build ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot report, dataset, and gateway issues.
  • Publish and manage reports in the Power BI Service.
  • Train business users on Power BI dashboards and reporting capabilities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and deployment documentation.
  • Support cloud migration and enterprise analytics initiatives.
  • Stay updated with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure analytics technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience developing Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and clients.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.

  • Experience integrating Power BI with Dynamics 365, Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle ERP.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
