Job Description

We are seeking a talented and innovative Cloud Application Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications that support enterprise business operations and digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with software engineers, cloud architects, DevOps engineers, product managers, and security teams to build highly available, secure, and resilient applications using modern cloud technologies.

As a Cloud Application Developer, you will develop microservices, APIs, serverless applications, and cloud-based solutions using platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be responsible for designing cloud architectures, integrating cloud services, automating deployments, optimizing application performance, and ensuring security and compliance across cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has strong programming skills, experience with cloud-native development, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices. Experience with distributed systems, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud security best practices is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build scalable, secure, and highly available web applications and backend services.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support enterprise applications.
• Create serverless applications using services such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.
• Implement cloud storage, messaging, and event-driven architectures.

Software Engineering

• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Develop applications using Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• Build frontend integrations where required using React or Angular.
• Design efficient database schemas and optimize application performance.
• Integrate third-party APIs and enterprise systems.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Collaborate with Cloud Architects to implement scalable cloud solutions.
• Deploy applications using Docker containers and Kubernetes.
• Configure cloud networking, storage, compute, and identity services.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM).
• Support cloud migration and modernization projects.

DevOps & Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Automate software deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
• Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize cloud resources.
• Participate in release planning and deployment activities.

Security & Compliance

• Implement secure coding standards and cloud security best practices.
• Configure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or Azure AD.
• Protect applications with encryption, secrets management, and identity access controls.
• Ensure applications comply with organizational security and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Document application architecture, deployment procedures, and technical specifications.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development and cloud application development.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
