Job Description

Dell Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Lead Machine Learning Data Scientist to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and business leaders to transform large-scale datasets into intelligent, data-driven products and business solutions.

This role requires deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, Generative AI, and cloud-based AI platforms. The Lead Machine Learning Data Scientist will also mentor junior team members, establish best practices, and drive innovation across enterprise AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Learning Leadership

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced machine learning solutions.
• Develop predictive, classification, clustering, and recommendation models.
• Drive innovation using Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Define machine learning architecture and best practices.

Data Science & Analytics

• Analyze large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Develop statistical models and predictive analytics solutions.
• Perform feature engineering and model optimization.
• Conduct A/B testing and experimental analysis.
• Translate complex data into actionable business insights.

Model Development & Deployment

• Build scalable machine learning pipelines.
• Deploy production-ready models using MLOps best practices.
• Monitor model performance, accuracy, and drift.
• Improve model scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Automate model retraining and deployment processes.

Collaboration

• Partner with Product Managers to define AI product strategies.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to optimize data pipelines.
• Work with Software Engineers to integrate AI models into applications.
• Present technical findings to executive leadership and stakeholders.

AI Governance & Security

• Ensure compliance with Responsible AI principles.
• Maintain AI model documentation and governance standards.
• Support data privacy and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Promote ethical AI development and deployment.

Team Leadership

• Mentor Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers.
• Conduct technical code and model reviews.
• Establish AI development standards and best practices.
• Lead cross-functional AI projects from concept to production.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
• 7–10+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning.
• 3+ years leading technical AI or Data Science projects.
• Strong experience deploying enterprise-scale machine learning models.
